High speed is my best friend who I want to marry. I don't know how I ever survived before. And then there's Jacks Mannequin. How did I live without those guys in my life before? Their music is so frickening amazing. I got their 2005 debut cd Everything in Transit last weekend and absolutely adore it. I need their new one NOWWW! But I refuse to download it on Limewire... When you think of it, 2005 had a great year for cds. Well, actually it had my favourite two cds from it...Everything in Transit and A Fever You Can't Sweat Out. And you want to know something else? Both Panic and Jack's put out their second album this year!

Okay, I'm really tired so I'm going to keep it short.

So this weekend, I had a soccer tourney and got just over a 1000 words on Saturday. I was way to lazy to write and I just got Mad Dogs (CHERUB series by Robert Muchamore) so I wanted to read that and I also had to watch a movie for Civis. We didn't even win the tourney, not even close.
  
After yesterday's pathetic word count, I stepped it up today with another 7k+ day. I wrote 7109 words making my total count 31392. I am something like 62% and  hey, look, it's the eighth day of the challenge. Currently, I am second in the race to the finish. I basically did all those words to steal my spot under Sailor_Chibi back from 6setdreamer. Now I'm just over two thousand words ahead of her/him and tomorrow I am skipping school to catch up on sleep and write. I plan to aim for another 6K so then I'll be floating around 37K. If I continue at this pace, I should be done before exams so YAY! I was really happy when I hit 25k today but even happier with the 30K and the 31K finish. Oh and by writing 7K today I also finished the 6k in a day challenge. I've realised now that I'll be well over 50K when my story actually finishes...and I plan that this novel won't be the only one of it's like. I'm thinking of making it a series...

Anyways, that's it. I'm beat tired and need sleep. I watched Die Another Day (James Bond, 2002) today. Was good but won't be good as sleeping past noon tomorrow.

OMG fan fiction related news on my blog made for fan fiction? NO WAY!

YES WAY!

So I have two new stories up on HPFF, Big Man, Big Job, Big Heart and Life Without You. They were supposed to be collabs but they never happened I guess so I got fed up and posted them on my own account. Others have been doing it too, I see.

But even more big HPFF news...I GOT TRUSTED AUTHOR STATUS!! WOOTT! This means I don't have to submit my stories to the queue anymore, they just get validated right away. Once I read the message, I submitted Life Without You and POOF! it was up. Just like that. I am so touched that I was picked, I'm so happy. I dedicated Life Without You to the staff because they rock. This is great too because then I get my stories up right away.

Anyways, back to SocNoc. It's day four for me and currently I am five days ahead of what I should be at. I have 15,509 words right now and am still going. I love socnoc, I really do. I'm going to keep giving it though, hopefully I'll finish before exams!

That's it, I'm done. Got to save these words for SocNoc. Aiming for 20K tonight. Still in second.

Okay, so today I started my writing with a little over 3K and as I write this entry, I have 7.6K. I just gived er today in the chatroom, did like five word wars and my count soared even though I only got around 300 for every  ten minute one and 500 for the fifteen minute ones. It was so fun, it was crazy. Word wars really help, they just get the creativity going though I ended up with a tone of spelling errors. Seriously though, go to the kiwiwriters chatroom you SocNocers. It is so fun.  Basically all my wars were against cassie, sailorchibi and nxfoxgrrl and we totally owned that chatroom for the longest time ever.

but teh only reason I got so many words down was because I came home around noon. It was a schoolday, yes but I had school soccer and we lost, finished at 11:30 so I went home and got online...helped me so much. Seriously, I am amazed. 7.6K on day two?! I've only did NaNo 07 but I think that's good, especially for me. I swear by the end of the night, I will be in the top three of peopel with word counts and/or have 10K. My goal for the night.

And since I'm in such an enthusiastic mood about writing, I think I will share  snippet of my prologue.

SocNoc has begun and here in Canada, I am on schedule though behind on the Kiwi's because their timezones ahead. Gah. So far, I have 3028 words and I'm going to write some more tonight, finish at nice four thousand. I had a soccer tournament today and yesterday, stalled my progress only slightly because the timezone difference. I could've started yesterday with the others in New Zealand but I was too beat to start even at that time. But hey, 3K is good and so is the fact that I have a unofficial title (not sure if I'm going to keep it). It's called Gather the Courage and my first chapter....well epilogue is killer! The epilogue and all the chapters will start with a quote but hows this for a first sentence of the story?

Yeah, I know. Not amazing but oh well. I was going to start with this:

Procrastination is said to be opportunity’s assassin and as usual, Abeni Vandana’s uncanny ability to put things off to the last moment seemed to be killing her chance of passing her Social Science’s class.

But then I wanted to put in the epilogue so that got bumped to the start of chapter one. I'm so excited for this.

Oh and I stalled today not only because of soccer but because of......................icons! Again, they just attack me and I make them. I have 20 Minutemen icons to offer to you all and I promise, there's more to come because these are from just the first five minutes basically.
